I'm not a huge fan of blogs, but I suppose I can write a bit in this. The summer is quickly coming to a close. I had the best time at Berwick United Church Camp. I played flute in every service and at lots of other events. I mostly improvised and played off of music. It was really fun. Since I was not the music director I was surprised they wanted me to play so much. It was incredibly freeing. I have never improvised in public before, let alone in front of 300+ plus people and over the sound systme which was heard by 800+. I wasn't even nervous. I feel like I am really blossoming. I also did some solos without accompaniment and they all went well. I sang alto in the choir too. We were expected to make up our own harmonies most of the time which wasn't too hard. I love music!
